Right,

I'm sure I remember seeing a thread regarding fixing the barrels on broken SLR's. I've got the plastic tube that I'm using for the machine gun on my scorpion that I can use on the SLR's too but I'm stuck with what to do for the spoke canister bits at the end.

Thanks

For the flash suppressor I usually use a bit of larger tubing over the replacement barrel tube.

That's fabulous, is your repair thread on this forum? I tried looking. Also, where did you get the tubing? Thanks Smile

Thanks.  Very Happy
My thread is right in this section.
That's not even tubing in that pic it's some garden staking for seedlings.
You can buy assorted packs of polystyrene tubing in any decent modelling or hobby shop. Certainly online.
I'll use whatever is handiest. Very Happy

Here's one done with wooden skewer and a piece of black biro innards to create the flash suppressor.

Works well if done well. You can pick up jewelry jump rings for the SLR sling from places like The Range for a few pence.

I use 2mm flat black elastic for that. Here it is on an arctic SLR I re-barrelled. Same stuff to replace the snow shoe straps.
