Chapter 11: The greatest hero of them all to the rescue.

No Face emailed Gangrene’s warning message to the World Leaders. “And now No Face, we wait for their response! They shouldn’t take too long to bow down to my demands. Imagine all the people that are involved in the production and distribution of narcotics worldwide. When all the connected gang member are released from prison, they will be working for The Gangrene Council, mwahaha! I’ll be in complete control of all the back streets of the world. I’ll able to make up my own brand of narcotics and have all the drug addicts begging for more. I’ll be able to charge anything I want for my own brand. Oh the power!!!



Anyway, I better make arrangements just in case they say no to my demands. Therefor, I must ensure that the diseased gas canisters are ready for transport to their drop off points.”



A few hours later Gangrene is in the middle of checking where the remaining three canisters will be heading to if his demands are not met.



Unfortunately, as the canister was being taken by one of the henchman out of storage for transit to one of the capital cities where the leaders were unwilling to meet Gangrene’s demands, the henchman was stopped and killed by Action Man. Gangrene was totally unaware of what had happened.



A loud and commanding voice makes Gangrene turn around in astonishment. He thinks to himself, “Who has the audacity to interrupt me whilst I am making contingency plans.“



“My name is Action Man. The World Leaders have nominated me as their representative. Their answer to your demands is a most definite NO. I’m here to stop you Professor Gangrene. There is no point in you calling your guards because they all fast asleep in their headquarters. I chucked sleeping gas grenades into their sleeping accommodation. They will sleep like babies. I’ve been told to bring you in “dead or alive” Professor Gangrene. Let’s just say if you resist arrest, then I’m not afraid to get my robotic dog to fire a missile straight into one of your gas canisters. You know don’t you, that you will die a horrible death. As you can see, I come prepared. I have at the ready my own gas mask. My dog is robotic so will be totally unaffected by the fumes emitted. It is up to you Gangrene if you wish to stay alive, you must come along with me in handcuffs. The final choice is yours.”



Gangrene puts both arms straight forward and said,

“Okay ,okay Action Man who ever you are, I’ll surrender. Anyway, being in Jail will give me time to think up my next evil scheme mmmmmwwwwahahaha. I won’t forget this. I’ll get my revenge. Mark my words Action Man. Beware and watch your back.”



Action Man handcuffs Professor Gangrene who’s and escorts him out of the room. Robotic Dog follows on too keeping a close eye just in case Gangrene try’s to run away.

Yay ! Action Man to the rescue !!

Where are Gangrene's henchmen? Did they all run away? I mean, yeah, the gas grenades in to the barracks put some of them to sleep, but you mean to tell me that all the henchmen sleep at the same time? No standing guard in shifts? Nobody was around to protect the premises?

If Gangrene gets out of this, somebody in charge of security is gonna have some serious explaining to do!

Or... is getting arrested (and sacrificing a peon or two in the process) part of Gangrene's carefully calculated nefarious plan?

I just finished the story, it's great!

That is one Dr. X that I don't have. I have a handful of versions of him.

It's a version I don't have either.
Considering the fact that he was made as a toy for kids, are those hair extensions flexible?
If they are not to some degree, wouldn't they break off rather easily?
I will certainly have to acquire one for myself.

Although if this eBay picture is accurate, looks like he's got a very simple poorly articulated Ken-doll type body, so to be of any real use for posing he might need a body transplant?

Sadly the 1997 Gangrene was very simple poorly articulated Ken-doll type body. I haven’t given my Gangrene any new body transplant I’v just left him as he is.
