The most popular 1/6 area for collectors these days appears to be seamless female figs.
From what I see for vintage VAM/JOE figs, the most popular area seems to be restoring figures, giving them realistic custom flock-work, and creating original, world-weary adventurer type characters.

I agree - you can't beat bringing an old trooper back to active duty.. I just wish I had the funds to buy all the figures you see in spare or repairs bundles..and it would be amazing if you could find their stories out.. What were their character names ? what missions did they undertake? how important were they to their owner?
