Kamiko to The Rescue (How Kamiko recuited Laura)

Our story begins as Erika von Stroheim, once again off her meds, interrogates the hapless Laura Neville, a former JPL engineer from Pasadena, traveling to New Mexico where she believes her sister may still be alive. Here we get to see both Kamiko's good-hearted side as well as her dark, nasty side for alas, Kamiko is a a flawed and imperfect heroine.

It isn't as though Erika doesn't know that she needs her meds; it's more like they aren't as readily available as they should be in this Mad Maxian setting, though somehow Kamiko has no difficulty getting shiritaki noodles from Japan to cook her mother's nikujaga recipe. Go figure....

Rattlesnakes aren't generally aggressive. It probably just wants a nice shady place to curl up out of the desert sun. Like, under that chair. Or up Erika's trouser leg.


Oh, so Laura may have a missing sister! But in the search, she ran across a long-lost cousin! This could turn out to be quite a family reunion!

That shot-in-the-back pic is really well done! Dramatic... and brutal!

I was surprised that the figure held its pose without falling over backwards. It also clearly illustrates that Kamiko has no qualms shooting someone in the back and that she is not a pure white or pure black character.
