I was rather inspired by RealSarahdactyl`s recent 21st century post of the SAS dude . So dug some old pics of mine out of one of 21st`s NAM Navy SEALS . I think he is pretty much original , though I have replaced the elastic straps with proper webbing . " Sorry Bout that " a phrase made popular from the Vietnam war by certain movies , I thought rather suited the first picture . I think those Vietcong should of done a runner .
You may see a resemblance to Blain from Predator , though he used a mini gun and not an M.60 .

The frame Barry was made from Gardening cane ...which I think is Bamboo . The Hooch needs some small repairs now , not helped by the Cat who likes to sleep in it .

I'm also interested in how you made the hut.
I have a couple of 21st Century, and that is a lot better figure than what I have.
As far as 21st, I mainly have the 21st villain figures. As adversaries for my modern Joes.
21st Century made great stuff.

The Hooch was made from gardening cane , ( Bamboo ) used to make a frame . I then cut and glued each individual reed to the sides and the roof . The roof has a hessian underlay , and was probably the hardest part to make . I have stuff to make two or three more , will try and find some more pics of this one done in stages I know I have some someplace .
