Robots on the beach.

Action Man is behind a rock watching two water robots walking away from what looks like three oil barrels. Action Man says to himself “No one should be dumping any kind of barrels on a beach. It’s toxic for the beach, the sea and the animals who live in the sea. I’d better go and check to see if the barrels are leaking anything out.”




Action Man sneaks his way around the rock.




He starts quietly walking towards the barrels.




He lyes down beside one of the barrels and says to himself “fewww the cap is still on so nothing is leaking out. I’ll call for a clean up crew after I’ve dealt with these two robots”




He shouts out to the robots “OI RUST BUCKETS, DUMPING BARRELS IS A REAL BAD THING TO DO SO I’M TAKING YOU BOTH DOWN!!”




They both turn around slowly.




The first robot slowly raises his harpoon gun.



But Action Man is quicker to react and he fires his gun at the robot and it explodes.




Action Man turns to the second robot and shouts “YOU’R NOT WORTH ME WAISTING ANYMORE OF MY AMMO SO I’LL KILL YOU A SLOWER WAY. I BET I CAN PULL OUT MY KNIFE AND REACH YOU BEFORE YOU EVEN REACT!”




Action Man walks towards the robot with knife in hand.




The robot does slowly raise his harpoon gun but Action Man steps to the side out of the range of the harpoon gun with ease.



Action Man launches himself at the robot causing it to fall on the sand. He then buries his knife into it and stops away the Armour, leaving it dead.






Action Man walks away from the two destroyed robots.


THE END….. FOR THE ROBOTS!

These pictures were taken on a beach beside Threipmuir Reservoir in the Pentland Hills near Edinburgh. This reservoir is one of a number built about 170 years ago to keep the water flowing in the Waters of Leith which had many Watermills.

The irony, of course, is that Action Man purports to be concerned about littering and toxic waste, yet he leaves broken robot parts scattered all over the beach!


The knife fight sequence was well posed and photographed.

Thanks for your thoughts there Dave and your completely right too. I’m very pleased that you thought the knife fight sequence was well posed and photographed. I wanted to do a couple of close ups.

The clean up crew will need to be quick or the locals will be away with the barrels and harpoon guns - perhaps taking pieces of the robots as well.
