Subject: Bruce at 50! Sat Dec 23, 2023 10:29 pm
It's that time again. Another of the SKJ crew is having a 50th Birthday! Bruce reported for duty Christmas 1973 so in time honoured fashion we've dug out the big cake and 'adapted it' for Bruce!
Happy 50th Lancer!
Of course back in the day Bruce never had a lancer uniform. It's no surprise in hindsight, as finding the short lived 1972 Lancer uniform in a shop in early 1974 would have been highly unlikely. Bruce's misfortunes didn't stop there either. He was probably the last Action Man I gave a name and character to as by 1973 my VAM crew was pretty much set and so only really needed a supporting cast and cannon fodder, red shirt wearing expendables. Given this not-so-great start in life, and as a not so favourite son, I think he deserves to celebrate his 50th!

Happy Birthday Bruce! 50 years young and still rockin' !! Love the photo lifting the rock. The 21st century has certainly seen a big turnaround for Bruce, just goes to show, never give up, you never know when it's your turn! That exactly what VAM grippers were designed for...
