PostSubject: Kitbash: BRMP National Service   Mon Mar 25, 2013 6:23 pm

I've been planning this guy for a while. A British Roya Military Police uniform from the 1950s, around the era of National Service...

I've had to wait a while as I've been trying to get my hands of a SOTW British Infantryman uniform in good clean condition. Finally scored one on eBay the other night. The tunic and trousers are from that set...

Boots and gaiters are also from the SOTW British Infantryman...

Whoever had owned the tunic before me had removed the rank insignia, which was fine as I intended to replace them with sergeants stripes from One Sixth Scale King. The clipboard is from the Scramble Pilot set and the pencil is by Cotswold...

The lanyard I made myself and it is attached to the gun and Holster from the British Major set...

The cap, armband, belt and truncheon all come from the standard Action Man BRMP set...

Been planning him for a while and I'm really pleased with how he's turned out. Here he is with the official Palitoy BRMP figure (far left) and four earlier BRMP kitbashes of mine...

Smile

Billiant Jim. You've given me more inspiration. I've got a complete bar the tie BRMP uniform but the fatigues are faded. I'm going to try and dye them. It if not.....

Think they were the Tommy fatigues I bid on. Could only afford £10.00 including postage so I'm really pleased they went to a very good home and a very good kitbash :-)

Hey Hey we are the Monkey`s Very Happy Great bash Pauley especialy the deal with the lanyard,I`ve been making similar using white string dyed in tea, looking at a old parachute pack recently an idea struck me Idea untwist the thick cord that comes with it into separate strands and you have instantly got a cord the right colour. bounce

The tropical dude reminds me of Ian Hendry in "The Hill"
