Flippin' 'eck - this work still looks incredible no matter how many times I see it! Top Dollar Customization, Bri from the paintwork to the Decals. Stunning.

Thanks, guys!!! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Yeah, Burt made an unscheduled visit to Indiana. Wink He's such an icon that when I saw him on ebay I had to add him to the collection. Smile Though I think the 'real' Action Burt has longer sideburns.

Thanks, Jim, and thanks for the invite. cheers

Thanks Beatlefan and Andy!!!

RedDog: That was a vintage SeaWolf. Not in very nice shape when I got it. Too far gone to clean up so it got a paint job. You can see more pics in the Custom Vehicle area.

here:

http://actionmanmobileops.forumotion.co.uk/t1230-at-fantastic-sea-wolf-restoration-repaint

The Desert Explorer is a custom. I've been practicing painting headsculpts, some Dragon and a few Tony Barton heads and I wondered what it would look like to give the 'realistic' treatment to an old Joe head. This is the result. And after a visit to Dorset. he's Flocktastic Cool

Thanks,
Brian

Thanks, Dan, yes I painted it. Here are some shots of the Joe heads I painted before shipping them to Tony for flocking.

Ouch!, 3 ton of sub on the kneecaps!!! lol!

Cool comic again Bri. The custom winch on the jeep looks very unique, and your painting is top notch as usual.

Thank you all very much for the nice words and the warm welcome! I'm still finding my way around the site and have really enjoyed looking at all the great work you all have done and the beautiful pictures of your collections, dioramas, comics and customs. I still have a lot to catch up on.

I've been to a lot of boards for a number of years now, and I have to say that I really like the atmosphere here! I like the positive feelings and easy-going manner. You have a great spirit of camaraderie and I thank you again for your kindness and making me feel welcome.

I really have precious few vintage figures. I have been fortunate to acquire some nice vehicles, but it has been hard to find vintage figures that are in nice condition. This is something I plan to devote more time and attention too. I have to confess, I was bitten by the Dragon bug a few years ago and have a lot of DML vehicles and figures. WWII is my main focus and have a lot of kitbashed German, British and US troops.

Right now I've been reworking a DML Sherman tank, adding some aftermarket parts and modeling details. I've just finished giving it a repaint and am ready to start applying the markings and weathering it.

I recently got three vintage Joe fuzzheads that are in terrible shape and excellent candidates for stripping and repainting. Then off to Tony for a Flocktastic reflocking. I hope to get to them soon.

I spent the better part of a year on the jeep and trailer customs. Something in my karma must have been right because I had a lot of luck and help from friends with this project . Everything just fell into place. When I started I had no idea what it would lead to. All I planned to do was repaint the sub. Then I thought a trailer would be a cool way to display it and with some help, encouragement and ideas from some friends it turned into one of my biggest projects.

Thanks again,
Brian
