Here's a vehicle I always wanted. I found the basic vehicle at a second hand toy shop that is sadly long gone now, but they had some nice vintage Joe stuff and a pretty knowledgeable guy on staff. $50 seemed a pretty fair price for it and was in pretty good nick. Just needed some cleaning and some of the missing pieces. Got a lot of help from MSVguy/Tommy who is the Lord of the MSV. He had just about every missing part and let me have them very reasonably.

The clear dome is always the hardest part to find. Mine wasn't too bad, but with the help of Meguiar's PlastX polish -- Wow, what an improvement!

Original stickers have seen better days. Got the excellent replacement High-gloss sticker/decals from Patches of Pride. Also used his waterslide decals for some of the other markings

Now that I look at these dash panels again, I wish I had taken the time to blacken the edges with a marker.

Thanks for looking!
Brian

Great restoration of a fantastic vee-hickle Brian! Something a lot of us UK AM guys would love to own. Palitoy did think about producing a green AM version but alas it was never to be!

I have one, it's quite nice, but the dome is scratchy. Maguire's Plastix?? How did you use it, by hand or buffing wheel of some sort?

Yours looks great!

Thanks, Rick, I just hand polished it with a soft cloth. I have a friend who prefers a similar Maguiar's product called ScratchX. It's a little more abrasive. He took a buffing wheel to a really scratched old ATV with amazing results.

Meguiar's has a whole line of products including waxes. I picked mine up at the auto parts store, but i think they're available at larger discount department stores too.

I would try it by hand first then go to the wheel as a last resort.

Brian
