| Here's a few pics of Sgt Rock and Easy company with a few issues of the DC comic that inspired the figures! The guys themselves in all their GI Joe-esque glory!  Sgt 'Rocky' and/or 'The Rock' appeared in a few comics in the late 50's in one-off stories but by the early 60's the Sgt Rock character we all knew growing up was pretty much settled apon and appearing in 'Our Army at War'. A couple of issues from 1960/61   By the mid 60's Rock's billing as the comic's main strip was getting bigger.  (Check out the 'Enemy Ace's' story...watch them 'Fokkers' they got Stan Boardman into a lot of trouble!!)  The Nazi's were also getting more caricature 'nasty' bad guys. | |

| A 40th Joe in the 'Breakout from Normandy' set.  A great set but a word of warning...the real metal helmet in the set is too small for a normal Joe's head. I've swapped mine with the plastic one supplied with Sgt Rock himself. (Just in case Dal was wondering why my Rock's helmet was different to his!)  | |

| Great uploads Steve. I have to admit that I have got to the I want them too stage.
I think we are not helping each other out here , because when I see such uploads as yours & Dal's I think , Yep I like their look etc . So I'll get me some of those . Which then costs me money that I don't have! So then comes the dilemma !!
