Whilst looking at your excellent project.. I got Jungle expedition vibes!   It would definitely make a good Jungle explorer type of jeep.. with an orange paint finish and black Tiger stripes, also with added netting and spotlamp accessories   

More fantastic idea's Clive  , I still have not decided which way to go with the paint job. Funny you should mention spot lamps, I have been thinking along the same line but still very much in the development stages. I also have some idea's for items on the roof rack, but you will all have to wait to see what they are

cheers Mark  , yes mate finally got there  . I am enjoying the build greatly, there is something very rewarding about rescuing an old and broken vam vehicle, and giving it a new lease of life. I have found myself wondering, who did it once belong too, what missions did action man take this Landy on and ultimately who did it end up snapped in two  ???.

Dal My friend it is very enjoyable, it is also very rewarding , new sticker or Paint always gives it a new lease of life,

Its alive    

it does make us wonder, with the action men we get or vehicles,

what type of action have they seen,
who played with them,
what did they do,
how was its damaged
who broke it

Hey slack ! many thanks my friend  , I believe you are right, with a decent coat of paint on the old girl and she will look much better !, I still have a few small jobs to do before the paint, but I am hoping they will be finished by next week  .

Another update on the landy, I have spent the last few days making the smaller details of the landy. I fitted an extra hinge, rear registration plate and test fitted the rear spare wheel,



I also fitted a front registration plate, and as some of you may have noticed, I decided to cut down the axles to bring the wheels back into the body




I tried making a gear stick, with varying degrees on success, but I oped my uncle into carving me a gear stick, I think it looks awesome

That gear stick looks great!!! You could set up a 'Cottage industry' supplying copies cast in resin    They're always missing from Cherilia jeeps, there will definitely be a demand for them.
