I remember eating peanut butter sandwiches whilst watching Jonny Quest. Apart from AM I had a large collection of Corgi and Dinky cars.

Quich response is I'm at work. I too loved Buster Crabbe in Flash Gordon. Also sitting in front of the fire watching Harold Lloyd and toasting bread on a toasting fork. Would have been around Christmas time with cold dark nights and Christmas trees and fairy lights :-)

I was thinking about this thread and trying to remember what I watched as a kid, apart from the usual stuff a name kept cropping up, Hiram Holiday. I had to google it and I can remember watching him but it was very early and I must have been very young as it ran from 1960-1961, strange how these things stick in your mind. Cant remember what happened last week nowadays Very Happy .

Swapshop on a Saturday morning , Just in case the odd VAM swap came on . Followed by sunny days of VAM in the back fields we had at the end of our garden.
Did have an Evil Knievel too, though only for about 5 minutes. Wound the bugger up to jump the fence into the field & never saw him again ! Bally red wind up machine was feckin useless after that.

If it rained , I would desecrate my sisters stupid makeup head. It was a full size female head that you could put makeup on & it had this daft pony tail that used to get longer with a poxy neck wind. Noticed I said used to have a pony tail !
We got on soooo well me & my sister !! Other TV was Tom Baker as Dr Who , Blue Peter to see what VAM stuff they could make & feckin Highway on a Sunday evening with Michael Landon or Jim bally Bowen........Eeewww makes my stomach turn thinking about it !!!!!!!!

I never saw Jonny Quest. For whatever reason, the local television stations never picked it up.

The Munsters. Great stuff. The Addams Family is another wacky horror spoof that I enjoyed as a child. Back in the 1960's there was a daily afternoon show called Siesta Cinema where they showed old movies. Lots of classic movies from all genres. I took some film courses at University in the 1980's and most of the films we studied had been standard fare on Siesta Cinema.

lol! @Mark. Bullseye really was awful wasn't it!! Come to think of it Sunday night TV was awful full stop when we were kids, except maybe for a few weeks when the 'Planet of the Apes' TV show was on!

Saturday's could be just as bad though. Never mind Bullseye who remembers 3-2-1? affraid
