Hope you all in the South and East of the UK survived unscathed from the Storm. One of my trees in the back garden is now at a dangerous angle and its roots have damaged the bottom of the fence.
Called a Tree Specialist but I suspect they're pretty busy today.

...no trains this morning; have been at home all day posting on eBay trying to sell on some unwanted stuff! I have a whole shed full of it! Not VAM stuff though in the shed, more like music memorabilia, magazines, posters and that. Also had to super glue my new VAM's grippers in place as they came off...Sad

No damage here in South London, but I hope everyone is okay elsewhere...Smile

I live right on the Kent coast and all I can say is that it was a bit blowy lol! , seriously it didn't measure up the "87" storm there was very little damage on the coast ,the waves where breaking over the harbour walls in both dover and Folkestone ,which was quite impressive and a storm force 11 , the ships had to anchor out at sea, if they tied up in the harbour there would have been too much damage to the ships !

Cappy,

It looks like you'll need a new 'Gravel Board' and a few 'Feather edged boards' a 1 hour+half hour job, but more like all day if tea breaks are included Wink  Hide the tea and biscuits when they come to repair your fence Wink

Just a few small trees snapped in half down my way, the house roof is still on, and my shed and beer stash are still there Very Happy

The BIGGIE of 87 will always stay in my memory.. I remember walking through a small park in Leatherhead on my way to work and seeing huge Oak trees that had been uprooted, there was huge craters where the trees had once stood, it was like a warzone!

It was also a very busy time for me and my brother back then, we were repairing fences for months, I was doing 7 days a week.
