PostSubject: From Discount Thunderbird to Thunderbolt Driver    Sun Jan 05, 2014 1:39 am

A few weeks back, my wife and I went down to New York City for a few days. There happened to be a huge discount store across the street from our hotel that we browsed in. In the toy section I found a bunch of older DML figures. Well, multiples of one figure: the USAF Thunderbird pilot, LTC Brian Bishop. I mostly collect WWII stuff, but for $8, I got a decent HS and some items that I can spread around my collection. Since he's a pilot, (something I don't have in my collection) I decided to see if I could make a WWII aviator out of my spares box. Here's what I have so far. Enjoy!

The original figure

MY 9th Air Force P-47 Driver describing how he flamed his latest FW-190
HS: DML Thunderbird Pilot
Mae West: DiD
Shirt(dickey): Cotswold
Tie: DML
Trousers: 21st/BBi
Leather Jacket: DML
Garrison Cap: Cotswold
Boots: DML
Sunglasses: DML
