PostSubject: New Hybrid adventurer   Sun Jul 20, 2014 3:13 pm

A few weeks back sparklebudgie sent me a k/o figure that he had won in a ebay lot. He had the dame type of body as my childhood k/o, but had a different style of head.
When he arrived his one leg was bent at an odd angle, so I decided to swap his head onto a BP body. Then I was left to think how to dress him and him character. I think he has a very slight resemblance to Captain Haddock from 'TinTin' comics.
So he became a sailor !  Very Happy .

He has a standard bp body.
A k/o head
Cots grippers.
Vintage Action Man, Jumper & Sailor uniform.
40th Action Man backpack.
A k/o sailors hat.
BBI Machine Gun & watch.
Lone Ranger sleeping bag.
Vintage Action Man boots.
Homemade ancient texts.

A few edited shots,

Thanks for looking  cheers

Don't normally care much for KO figs, but I really like this guy! He has a real pre-vintage/old time look about him. Great choice making him a sailor!

Nice bash! That head sculpt does look really good, as does the outfit. k/o figures do have their uses sometimes, and creating a custom adventurer is better than just target practice!

I've never seen that type of head sculpt before, it's really good. I'm a big fan of Knock off's and unusual headsculpts  Very Happy
I like the neat touches on his backpack and the way his cap is stored, nice one!  Very Happy Very Happy
