Talking Action Man Commander (2nd version)

I got a bundle of these talking Commanders, mostly with blonde hair.

This looks great, what a fab idea, like it a lot

Liking the way you put that all together clivvers. I could see the first photo with commanders phrases on the back of his box to let the kids and big kids know what hes going to be saying.

I got the idea for this post from the Action Man equipment manual, which has diagrams. My second photo is a direct copy from that manual

No, no, not rare because it's a 2nd issue talking commander. Rare because you have the small head and/or large beret combination so they actually fit!

I have noticed a lot of Talking Commanders have a distinct 'look' as if they used heads from one particular mould for the production run. Unfortunately it was a large head..and the flock doesn't help!

There's definitely variations to the 'Realistic hair' headsculpts: lighter or darker/warmer skin tones, thicker or thinner flocking, and the head size. I remember my brother's 'Action Man Adventurer' had much thicker flocking, a warmer skin tone and a slightly larger head sculpt than my one.

I found some more Talkers today, but their uniforms are stashed in a storage box somewhere, plus a few still need new grippers

No, I found some at a boot sale stuffed inside a large carrier bag at the side of the sellers table last year, they were busy setting up their table, they were mixed in with some MAM items.. I never used to miss anything at my hunting grounds, I did pass on a stall crammed with naked Mego figures about 3 years ago, they all looked like they were from the 1970's.
