[quote="Captian action"]fantastic bit of 1/6th smithing , you have a talented boy with an eye for detail ![/quote

Cheers Jay yes he's a clever fella he tapped the blades out of some aluminium rods he'd picked up and he carved the tomahawk handle out of a piece of dowel he copied them from a picture of actual full size weapons Basketball

Cheers Jim the blades were just tapped out on a cobblers last with a little hammer, he made them out of aluminium rod then filed them and shaped them I think he used a dremel tool too but he heated them up to age them so really it's down to the individual skill at tinkering lol!

New powder horn I've just adapted from an old necklace I found in a charity shop Very Happy

Here's Hawkeye "Le Longue Carabine" with a powder horn full of black powder armed to the teeth, out in the wilds at the front of fort William Henry ready to defend against a marauding Huron war-party

Cheers thierry glad you like it, I keep adding bits to him and thought it was about time I gave Hawk a decent pair of moccasins as he couldn't go into the wilderness in his dress shoes anymore they were beginning to get a bit roughed up lol!

Yes Jim the day after my hernia op I spent part of the morning and all afternoon watching the full series it was great, and the scene was in it where they all empty the remainder of the powder horns into Hawkeye's so he has only one last shot it was excellent and well made back in the day, Have you had the chance to see it again Question

Cheers Ian

New Pistol and Moccasins Smile

Just enough powder in the big horn for one last shot from Le Longue Carabine  Evil or Very Mad

Now it's the turn of the flintlock pistol Let's get close and personal with these pesky Huron's

Eat Lead you Huron savage go to your hunting ground with a present from the Hawkeye

Think you can sneak up from behind on old Hawkster take a look at this you back shootin Varment

And into the night brave Hawkeye stood his ground not giving any quarter to his foe........
