The most exciting innovation for 1977 was the addition of Action Mans Eagle Eyes and for this there was call for a revamp to the boxes that Action Man would now come in this was started off as always with The Boxed Soldier. There was no change to the uniform except that the jumper was now made from a much thinner cotton and therefore had a much thinner thread.

Just having another look Danny. He is fantastic. Is this the box with Tom Stone on the side? Also with his trousers do they have pockets

Mark,

That's a very nice condition Basic Soldier you've got there!  cheers  cheers  cheers

It was a smart move by Palitoy to include the extras such as, belt, neck scarf and SLR weapon, there was no need to buy any extras to complete the outfit. I've got a small team of fixed eyed Basic Soldiers (rifle squad size) I have one of the thin nylon jerseys knocking about somewhere, the good thing about the nylon jerseys is, they always keep a perfect shape.
