Hi all

After the disappointment for all of us that our desire for another child to join our family it's great to hear Sara and the kids playing in the house. Whilst I've been in bed Milo comes to visit, sit on my bed for a bit and then goes to play.

Milo is a 4 year old cockapoo. A colleague has gone home to South Africa so we are looking after him partly to see if we would like a puppy of our own. He is lovely and I can feel the healing happening in my family Smile We will be getting a puppy sometime this year and I've sold a few VAM to help pay for him. 50 VAM is enough for me lol! lol!

Mark one thing I've found out was dogs that do not need shaven are less expensive to keep...
Our last pet dog Candy needed shaved every 2 months.
We promised my sister that had cancer that when she passed away we would take care of
her dog Gracie. My sister passed this past May so we have Gracie and she also needs shaved
every 2 months...

Here in the USA it cost between $60.00-$90.00 per shave so you see that can add up.
But Gracie has been great and she is helping us heal... Very Happy
We love her so much! Very Happy

Just something to consider when getting a pet dog...

Thanks Jim.

Louis my stepson is allergic to dog's but cockspoo's are hyperallergenic and do need a shave. Me and or maybe Sara are probably going to do a short course of dog grooming Wink Lots to consider.

Yes learning to shave/groom dogs will help a lot with extra costs! Very Happy
I need to take a dog grooming course myself thanks for the nudge... Very Happy

Gracie is a Golden Doodle and she doesn't shed hair at all... Very Happy

In the UK they are called labradoodles Jim. I'd love to see a photo. Cockapoo's (Cocker spaniel and toy poodle) don't shed either. What you pay out in grooming you save in hoovering lol

Shame about allergies because an English bull terrier is the dog of all dogs!!! But a poodadoodle or whatever it is sounds good mark!! Lol

Mark,

Never mind shaving dogs, I am more shocked at you having to sell VAM to pay for it! lol!

I am sure you and your family will get more joy from a pet dog than you do having some VAM stuff. The joys of being a dad and putting family first! (I know it well).
