Beaten up jeep box? Don't throw it away, rebuild it!

I picked up a boxed 5 star jeep the other day,the jeep is nearly complete but the box was rather sad..






I figured it would be a shame to discard it or keep it as it was, as it would continue to detriorate in storage.

I measured and cut individual pieces of cardboard starting with the bottom, with each piece cut I then glued it in and placed weights on top to flatten that part of the box.



After a few days (as the glue has to dry for several hours) I eventually got the flaps done and wound up with this.



Lots of Patina on the outside, brand new box inside and good for several more years of storage and display.
