Someday I'll get back to working on some RAF figures. This one is nearly straight out of the box, Dragon Models. All I added is the OSU (One Sixth Unique) cap. Need to add stockings and a pair of wings and insignia.

Here are a couple more of the OSU caps, awaiting uniforms and bodies...

Thanks,
cheers cheers cheers

Thanks Jay!!!

I always get confused about the cap badges, and I really don't understand why some are embroidered patches and others are metal badges.

He's got a white jumper under the jacket, but not very thick. He needs a lot of things, lol, Cricket jumper would cool. I have a red scarf, but gave it to my British Tanker...probably a stretch giving it to him, but he's a little short on gear too.

Thanks again!

Took a few pics of the Tanker:

It's a Dragon figure, the beret is OSU, boots by NLM. The scarf is Cotswold, a bit of whimsy, I don't think many tankers wore red.

I've always loved the collages of head shots like the excellent one Dal did recently. Thought I'd have a go.

Thanks!

Fantastic heads , they look like a tough bunch ! Very nice mugshots !they remind me of a film type headshot roll call like the longest day or a bridge too far

On another note your British tanker could just be wearing his regiments colours proudly , I forgot to mention , modern working day dress for tank regiment soldiers is black overalls with a cravat in the colour of the regiment,
obviously this tradition started somewhere !?
And I know for a fact 2nd RTR is saffron(Yellow but the regiment call it saffron ) , 1st RTR is red, 3rd RTR is Green and 4th Dark or Royal Blue ,
The tank corps colours which would be worn as shoulder flashes are red brown and green and come from ww1 the Somme and mean through the mud and through the blood to the green grass beyond ,although literal , was as also taken as metephorical, as in ww1 the British believed the tank would end the war .
I only know this as I was a 2RTR cadet in my teenage years !
The army initially called tanks land ships the name tank came from the factory where they where made as the
Factory workers said the looked like water tanks !
