More excellent figures, Nate!

I know the NLM boots are a little steep in cost. They are also addictive. They even have that "new shoe" smell. Just like when you were a kid and got a pair of real leather shoes.

I hear you. I actually splurged on some DiD boots a few years back. The Corcoran jump boots are not quite as good as the NLM ones

But I prefer their version of the M43 Buckle boots:

Great figures, Nate! The DiD boots are really nice, but, as I said, NLM boots are addictive. lol! Not sure if your into Battlegear Toys (BGT) but Auggie's been making some awesome leather boots too. Bout the same price range at NLM and equal quality.

Glad you like him, Jim, thanks!!! cheers lol! cheers

Thanks Steve, glad you like the Ruskies!!!

Not entirely fantasy either, Jim, I have seen a period photo of a Russian female dressed in the same uniform. I believe women served in every area of the Soviet military.

Thanks,

Continuing with the Naval theme, a couple U-boat officers:

I call him Captain (er) Lemo...

After Dunkirk the Germans captured lots of Battledress uniforms. According to sources, the U-boat captains took to wearing them:

I have often thought that without Action Man the British Navy would not be represented in 1/6th at all. After watching Sink the Bismarck I got an idea for a British Naval Officer:

i think the ussr had female pilots flying biplanes at night dropping the odd bomb here and there to disrupt the germans sleep patterns , the germans called them the night witches study

One the things I love about studying WWII, no matter how much you know, or think you know, there is always something new to learn.

Thanks Jim,

Great looking Naval bashes! My Merchant Mariner used to wear a pair of the 21st U-Boat leather trousers.

Along with the famed Night Witches, there were several female snipers in Red Army and Partisan units. Partisans and their resistance cousins in the west offered more opportunities for women to serve in a combat capacity.
