My name is Brian and I am a YouTubehaulic. I've been watching every WWII movie I can find as well as numerous TV series', such as Colditz, Dad's Army, Foyle's War, Poirot, Miss Marple, All Creatures Great and Small, etc.

Finally decided it was time:

The Avengers

Over here in the colonies we only ever saw Mrs. Peel. We only knew Honor Blackman as Pussy Galore. As I watch the episodes I've been reading the "Avengers Forever" website reviews of each episode. I had never known the all links between The Avengers and Bond. Many shared actors, but what cracked me up and I wanted to share here... Emma Peel brings in the mail. There is a letter for Steed from Cathy, Cathy Gale. Who writes to tell him she is in Fort Knox!!!  Too funny!!!

The Avengers --  Quality Quirk!

No doubt, Ross, the entire US fell in love with Diana Rigg when the show was introduced here. I've got a ways to go yet, but Joanna Lumley was in The New Avengers that came a few years later, but still starred Patrick Macnee.

Speaking of Bond trivia and OHMSS, did you know that Joanna Lumley was in it too? Yes, she was one of the lovelies in the chalet. I have to admit, I didn't even know till I saw her name in the credits.

Thanks,
Brian

You can still see him on YouTube. Nice outtakes from his commercials, that should have a language warning. Twisted Evil Laughing

I saw her too, Jim, Spotted her right off. She also hosted a series for a time on Public Broadcasting here in the US, Masterpiece Theater.

Another bit of Avengers trivia from Season 4. Mrs Peel is working in the toy section of a department store and there are toy Daleks. Look close to 1/6th scale too... Exterminate!!!
