Robin Hood

I thought i would have a go at a Robin Hood bash. Trousers and hood are made from the chamois leather cloths from the pound shop, they are small squares of leather stitched together. I dyed the hood brown and the trousers green i think the original stitching adds to the look. Not sure about the tunic it looked ok by eye but a bit tacky in the pictures, it's made out of green cloth then covered with a dyed dish cloth to give it the look of wool, i might change that. Sword, belt and dagger was an arm and a leg off the bay but as the rest was of little cost not to bad and i think it sets it off nicely , hope you all like him.

Thats a first rate bash. The shot with the bow drawn back must have been a tricky shot. Was the bow made in that shape? It looks like its got a lot of tension in it though.

Hello actiongary, that shot was very difficult , the bow is made of three lengths of very thin bamboo glued together so it has strength plus it's very flexible, it is bent by his arms locked in that pose. The problem is it's all balance and his left hand kept bending at the Wrist but i was out in the greenhouse so i don't think anyone heard by bad language . All good fun .
