That is a great looking Patton! I've been putting off my "History vs. Hollywood" Patton display using the DML and DiD figures; maybe this will get me back to work! Well done!

Well your Patton certainly won't have to pack any bags if he's thinking of travelling.....he's got a full set right there under his eyes!

I had no idea that there had been a variety of "Patton" releases with very different, but almost universally good, sculpts. Again, I'm pleased to see a very interesting topic resurrected, this time in light of recent discussions in other topics.

That long coat... like a duster jacket... is a very nice uniform piece. The duster jacket and those jodhpur trousers would certainly lend themselves to a "steampunk" kitbash.

The heavy machine-gun on... is it on a tank?.. is spectacularly impressive! The detailing looks to be extreme!

The discussions of Patton the historical figure, Patton the movie and pop-culture character, and the Patton action figures have been fascinating and educational!

Maybe I overdid it, but he was already in his 60's during the war. I also painted his hair white as the dark color the figure came with just wasn't right. Maybe not the best of the Patton sculpts, but (all due respect) I wasn't going to use George C. Scott.

Thanks.

Thanks Dave, I'd call it a trench coat. Not quite long enough for a duster. It was what most officers wore. I have only found it on one figure, a limited edition Cyber-hobby figure from Dragon Models. I was able to find one on ebay and paid a pretty high price just to get the coat.

Love your idea of using the jodhpurs in a Steampunk 'bash. Definitely use the riding boots too.

The 50 cal. is a DiD/Dragon in Dream item from a figure set. You can still find them. The machine gun mount and ammo box were from a after market maker, East Coast Armory. You want to see some amazing tanks and modeling skills visit his site!
