Sigh...I do actually understand modern technology ya know. lol!

It's a large sd card, but as the camera and card are both somewhere around 10 years old..I'm guessing it's an old style which is slightly wider than the slot can take.

Well... There's been a bit of a development.

I changed my mind yet again...And decided that I didn't want a new camera.  I've got quite a good point and shoot and after a conversation with Clive the other night i went on line and looked up all about the settings.

I had been guilty of just using it on auto, but when you play about with the settings you can get some brilliant pictures.

So I'm going to learn how to use my camera properly..And think of something else to do with the money.

lol! Have fun with whatever else you buy RT! Very Happy

I still use them in my Fujifilm cameras, you need to get a USB multi card reader for your laptop, Argos and PC World sell them for around £9.99 - £12 Wink

Ok camera fans.... Another change of plan.

Over the last few days I've been taking pictures with my point and shoot. I've taken them with just about every variation that my camera can do..... ISO, flash settings......Etc etc. And the pictures are blooming awful.

Even though they still make this camera.. It's about 10 years old..So i think its just worn out.

So i went back to the shop with the Cannon in. I spoke to one of the assistants at length......And the result is...I'm buying it in a couple of weeks.

Yeah yeah....I know.........I can't make up my blooming mind lol!

I don't think they make that camera anymore Chris, it sounds like the sensor may have gone bad, is there a finger print on the lens??? check the lens under a bright desk lamp... It's odd because the camera can take nice clear shots with it's large 1/1.6" Super CCD Sensor, you might be taking the pictures too close to the subject without using the Macro setting?

Chris the Macro setting can get you as close as 3.9" without zoom (wide angle) F2.8 should blur out the background. Give the camera time to focus and use a tripod and timer settings, the camera is very easy to use. I wish I had not binned mine because there was an easy fix for the battery not making contact with the metal strip, I only found out afterwards, mind you I only payed £5 for it, it was still factory sealed and found at a booty, the seller had 2 for sale but I only wanted 1.. I replaced the loss with a bundle of other Fuji cameras for pennies, including mint boxed ones for £7 each Very Happy

Download this to your pc and save it: http://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/manuals/pdf/index/a/a700_e_manual.pdf

Very good quality Chris, it's nice and sharp and no problems, except the red squashy painted head figure should be sporting hard hands Wink Remember not to use the flash when taking up close pictures, try to use a bright desk lamp instead, or take the photo outdoors. It is recommended to get yourself some high capacity rechargeable batteries and charger from Homebase, at least 2000mah power for the batteries, I stocked up on loads for my cameras.

Cheers for the info and feed back fellas

Clive..I hate hard hands with a passion. They are rubbish for holding anything in even a vaguely realistic way .And as you know....I laugh in the face of tradition lol!

I've just been looking at EV values.....And other bits.so I'm off to take some more pictures

Blimey Clive you weren't joking about the batteries. It's just killed off anew set in a very short time.

And they were my last ones...Oh well.no more playing today.

Hello RT, don't leave the batteries in the camera when not in use it drains them. Even left over night they will drain.
