| To me it looks like a very Hi-Tech grappling hook, it has a hole to take some rope and it also appears to have a gripping handle. I've not seen it before, my minds eye was having a field day trying to visualize how Max would use it. | Reading though all your comments your all typing that you think the weapon is infact might be a grappling hook  .
