AY's Holiday Snaps

I went camping this past weekend, to a tourist town further up-state. Miss AY and I both had a great time, and I smuggled Skip, my AT Sea Adventurer, along for some pics.



In front of the tent, while Miss AY Naps.

Skip decides to hit the beach, so to speak.






"Someone's been bombing seagulls..." thinks Skip.




"There's one they missed, if I only had my rifle..." Skip thinks further.




Skip tests the waters of a shallow pool further inland. It'd be safer there.

Too cold. He must warm up, but how?

Oh yea...






The next day, before the return trip, Skip stands in front of the bridge to the UP.






On the way back, a tourist shop is hit. Out front? A Pirate ship.

The best part was that a guy recognized Skip as a Joe, while I was taking pictures by the Pirate Ship.

He asked if he had Kung Fu Grip.


I hope I managed to re-kindle some fond memories for him.

Oh yes.

We got fudge, and Tee-shirts, and got some nice other pictures.

I surprised Miss AY with a Polaroid-type reissue camera. She loves it.

Fantastic shots Ian!!! How did I miss these last July?

Upper Michigan, one of my favorite places. We used to cross that bridge 3 or 4 times every year for about 15 years. My family had a lake cottage in the Upper Peninsula on Manistique lake. Where I took some pics like these:





Good times! The UP is a place like no other. A little Michigan, a little Wisconsin, a little Canada.

Areeee looking back at these reminds me of going on holiday somewhere HOT .
