ANT HEADS (USEFUL BADGE REPLACEMENT) - R.I.P. Tony Barton (December 2023)

When I clicked on a topic titled ANT HEADS I fully expected to see something more like this:

Just looking at the man's incredibly gallery is amazing!
And the very reason I hesitate in modelling any military situations.
All historic military uniforms have regulations and rigid adherence to correct form and it's those details of dress and badging that you have to get right.
This involves research and a great deal of expert knowledge that I readily confess I do not possess, and so I tend to confine my own efforts to the realms of fantasy.
I do however have great admiration for those who go to such great lengths to "get it right".

Tony Barton is the grand master of all things 1/6th military.

Sad news to report: Tony Barton of ANT HEADS passed away in December 2023.



Tony's talent will be sorely missed throughout the military action figure hobby.

Indeed, Colonel Arbuthnot's cap badge was made by Tony.


Kamiko's rank insignia, worn here on her collar, were also made by Tony.


The sun helmets worn by Professor Champion and Glynis were also made by Tony.
