The Scramble Pilot is my favorite.

Look at that jumpsuit, not a crease, stain, or stray thread on it. Drool

As close to factory line as you'll get. Very lucky to have A found them & B have them in this condition, quite jaw dropping.

Oh the memories of that Very Happy

I was trying to think of a good way to display my breeches buoy set, I didn't want to just lay it down in the cabinet as it would lose it's affect, so I made a custom clear acrylic bracket, and hung it on the outside Very Happy

What a rip off Mad My space capsule looks like it's a GI Joe one, yet all the paperwork etc says Action Man. It's got no Action Man logo of the nose cone, It appears plain, but if you look carefully you can see GI Joe stamped in reverse on it - I'm gutted pale

I had the same model as a kid mate, it was probably a shortage for Action Man so they shipped some over, just like they did with Action Man figures in the early years. Those Joe ones are worth a pretty penny mate cheers, so no need to be disappointed

If you can make it to the Northweald show , I think you would have a serious amount of nostalgic fun .

I like it without the logo.

I find the emblazonment of the brand name (Be it Action Man or GI Joe) sometimes distracts from the realism.

But that's just me.

Regardless, first issue kit ain't nothing to sneeze at, particularly with something like this where they had to get creative and made a temporary augmentation until it could be completely fixed. I love things like that. Very Happy

This story should be in the Collectors Gazette, it remarkable. How about contacting them, they would be very interested  Wink :

What toys I have from my younger days have been played with, but still in nice condition, mainly my Scalextric and Triang/Hornby trains, shame I only have a few bits of loose Action Man items in my dad's loft, including 1 puttee, oh and one of my cub scout sock garters lol!

What a great find! Glad you have your childhood Joes back. I just finished talking about the space race with my class this week. The Joe/VAM capsule are nearly identical; and the idea that some were shipped over due to ashortage of VAM ones sounds right. Keep in mind that Action Man was a Joe copy until about 1970.
