I wanted a nice Bike for Drik , so when he has a day off , he can ride his Motorcycle .cheers
I found a 1938 Indian Chief , but Drik isn't in the military so it has to be a civilian motorcycle lol!

Nice job on the repaint.

I don't mean to go all anorak on you but this is a 1948 Indian.  The pre-war Indians used a leaf sprung trailing link fork, while the WWII and post war versions used the girder fork.

The oversized carbeurator housing on the left hand side of the cylinder heads is another giveaway of the era.
