thick brass Gi Joe DogTag?

Heh Joe Fans... i have this very thick, heavy Gi Joe Dog Tag which looks like it's brass... any ideas what era it's from?

Haven't seen the tag (looks great in the pic), I do have an early aluminum dog tag on a brass chain that no-one can seem to explain??

My best guess! Neither of them actually exist! lol!

The possibility of an early brass chain and dogtag......hmmmmm......a very strong possibility, seeing that I have a matching chain, it looks much more probable??

Let's see if there are any more oddities out there that are as of yet unexplained! Perhaps a new thread on unexplained variations/oddities is in order?

As with the white noggin clear boots etc etc if people have never seen it they tend to tell you its fake but i think that is a great find and super rare slack so my guess would be put it ion the trenches and get it shot down as a fake and be safe in the knowledge you have something really special there Smile

I looked through all my Gi joe books and nothing written about a
brass dog tag... I have never seen or heard of them before either.

Cheers Joe90 for this Ive had a look at The Trenches site but I will need to regester to get a better look at it are you regestered or anyone else from AMMO ? and do you use the same usernames?
