I didnt realise that it's a sealed unit...so not much I can do with it. Oh well..it looks good

Well done on shorting out the bed but what did you do to short it out RT?

I think the batteries have to be removed after each use and the top of the outboard left off to allow the unit to dry out.
Moisture in the outboard leads to corrosion. Mine is new but after use I have found water manages to find its way into the battery compartment. If the previous owner left batteries inside the unit that would probably account for its deterioration.

I glued the dowels together end to end like I did the first time,  but I also wrapped the joint in paper soaked in a glue/water mix...just like Neil Buchanan taught me on Art Attack  

The joint is much stronger now

I made new tent pole, guy ropes and tent pegs.

Well you better get that grass cut so you can take a better picture .

Great work on that tent! How about some sort of a ground sheet for added comfort?
Particularly if a bed won't fit in.

Oh I know the feeling. I've become one of those people who put things away ever so carefully, "so I'll know where it is when I want it".
Come that very time and...........???????      
I think there are items I will only find when finally I shift house! And then there'll be that blinding recall when you say "Oh I remember putting it there!"
