| It appears that your Joe is a fully trained locomotive operator, ready to take on any tasks related to operating the steam locomotive or the train in general: engineer (driver, I think they're called in the UK), fireman (stoker in your part of the world), brakeman, and even conductor. Looks like he's prepared to serve as groundskeeper outside, as well. And maybe even toll collector at the bridge!
I love the color combination of copper, brass, black laquer, and natural woodgrain (with gold pinstriping) in the locomotive cab in that first picture. Mechanical things were so much more elegant and classy in the olden days.
How cool is it to have an old castle looming over the museum grounds? To you that may be nothing special. To those of us here in the States, it's quite astonishing to see these ancient ruins from Ye Olde Dayes of Chivalry appearing randomly about the countryside. _________________ ... DAVE

| Great pics Alex...or should I say Alex's dad I recognise most of the places in the pics as York is where I trained for 12 weeks to be a signaller. In fact I stayed in the hotel which is in the shot of the castle thing on top of the hill. _________________ NEW STORAGE FACILITY IS FINALLY FINISHED CHRIS

| Great shots Alex, ....and although the locomotive is of course massively "out-of-scale" it just doesn't seem to matter. All those complicated brass pipes and levers combine to make some great "steampunk" looking situations. You have integrated your man so well into the machinery too. |

It was actually my dad who had taken all these pictures infact but thank you very much for the comments though LeStryge. _________________ I’m Dedicated to serving Professor Gangrene as One of His Loyal Minions.

| Yes Alex I was aware of that from one of your earlier posts, but I'm almost sure it was you who arranged your man so well in the machinery? |
