| Crikey! (I won't show this pic to my spouse; she was a big Irwin fan and still donates to his Wildlife Warriors conservation fund. Coincidentally, we were wondering just yesterday how long it had been. I was guessing about ten years. Hard to believe it's been more than that!) And while I liked the Croc Hunter, I can appreciate a dark joke, and this is hilarious! (Because, seriously, what the h*ll was he thinking!) _________________ ... DAVE

| The bloke made a living out of annoying wildlife. I'm pretty sure even crocodiles did not enjoy being jumped on as a public entertainment. Nor snakes, goannas and the like appreciated being manhandled for nothing other than a TV show. He was more of a wildlife "worrier" rather than any "warrior" as he self-proclaimed.
Seriously now, you do not have to have a degree in Marine Biology to realise that large stingrays possess a huge very sharp spine covered in a poisonous mucus that they use for defence. "STING-ray"??? Duhhhh! It's quite capable of penetrating any part of a human body so they should definitely NOT be picked up just to pose for a egotistical stunt on camera. What the hell was he thinking indeed! Karma has such a way of striking back.
I found the little figure in a junk shop and had a couple of stingrays at home and just couldn't resist!

It wasn't enough for the bloke just to swim with them for the cameras , ...oh no! He had be pose as the big hero and pick one up! Bang, ...MULTIPLE stabs to the heart with a very sharp serrated 6" to 8" barb! So how do you spell "dumb"? |

| Well swinging by their tails might be OK.....? That large knife at her side leads me to suspect that rather than displaying wildlife, she's REALLY thinking about a matching set of luggage, a handbag and some new boots! "Do I have enough skin for all that...?" I'd like to see someone attempt that feat with one of our crocs! They grow to over 17 feet! |
