Dean, can I ask where that outfit came from?
I have THIS James Bond figure below wearing the "Thunderball" outfit but I am VERY reluctant to remove the wetsuit in case it just falls apart. It looks quite OK but that stuff it's made from is notorious for degrading.

Top Thunderball figure, Dean!!! Great gear and excellent set-up and photography. I'd like to know more about it too.
I've seen your Thunderball dio before, Barry. It is fantastic!!! I really like the new stand you made for it and the quality of the photo and color is very striking.

Love ya work Brian! The innuendo in that last comic is very funny!
Can't resist putting one of mine in!
PS. can't lay claim to the colour in the pic of my "Thunderball" figure. The camera has an "Art" function that exaggerates and beefs up the colour and it was accidently left on. I'm not at all fond of over-saturated colour, so beloved of most advertising these days.

Thanks Barry, that's a nice shot too.
Hope Dean doesn't mind all this hijacking of his thread...

Thanks for the comments guys....I’m happy for you to hijack the thread.. Barry excellent picture. And Gibri your picture stories are second to none.
The outfit comes from the 90s modern action man figure... i took it off him to do my photos The material is differant to the old action man degrading stuff , I don’t think it will perish

Thanks Dean, these Bond MAM sets have to be some of the best of MAM. There were MAM sets released here in the US, but unfortunately I don't think we got the Bond sets.
Rumor has it there's even a VAM Tar over at SKJHQ sporting a MAM Naval officer's cap, though I think the original MAM is a little worse for wear.
Not a bad fit and the set really looks good on VAM!
Great post!!!

Dean, to me the wetsuit top coming from a MAM release seems to have quite short sleeves when worn by a VAM. Does VAM have longer arms? I've never seen a MAM Bond release here in Oz either.
I'm glad to read your positive assessment of the material though. We have all been long aware of the degradations frequently happening to those VAM wetsuits that look quite similar in colour.

There were 6 different sets I have 4 .. The arms on the wetsuit are a bit short fo vam...as the 90s guys are a bit stumpy in the arm department.... Here are my 4 sets ..
As a matter of fact the goldeneye set was the first figure I ever bought, of eBay back in December 2017 which ignited my interest In buying vintage action man, now 3 years on I have 70 odd figures...

Great collection of Bonds, Dean! They've been the MAM's that tempted me the most and I can see them increasing in value.

Thanks Steve!
We got that sub for our son years ago, just one of those finds at the toy store. There have been a few off-scale things I've seen with the G. I. Joe name. Needless to say, I made sure we got that sub for our son and guess who has it now... And for scale, the sub came with a dozen or so tiny figures less than an inch tall.
I used to think about chopping it up and trying to make it something for full size Joe, but I like it too much as it is. Makes a nice display piece.
