I certainly had a great day, ....including some of the very heaviest rain I've ever seen!
We had literally no rain here for six months but since the drought broke on Christmas Eve we have now had 710.5 mls of the stuff!
That's a fraction over 28 inches for those of you who measure it as such.
Truly wonderful, ....and seriously "tropical" at times.
Amazing how quickly the landscape has "greened up" , and those bushfires are now nearly all but extinguished, much to the chagrin of our highly vocal resident "Climate Change Alarmists."

That's gotta be a huge relief, so glad to hear it!

I hear we just had the warmest January since records began in the 18whatever's...there's an expression for this -- fake news! I refuse to believe it..NBC news, oh really? The British have a wonderful word for what has been passing as our news -- Bollocks.

Wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that they fudge the data by ignoring temp readings they don't like and placing thermometers in areas bound to read high.

Did you know that Australia produces just 1.3% of all world CO2 emissions, but if we shut anything to do with coal, (no reliable electricity which would shut down all industry), removed all cars and trucks from the roads and also killed all our sheep and cattle.....we wouldn't have any bushfires at all.

Here in my state (New South Wales) everything is open....NO lockdown at all.
It's only Victoria, which is run by a perennial bedwetter and megalomaniac, where a lockdown is being imposed.

Mask are NOT mandatory here, nor is that idiotic square-dancing AKA "social distancing".
In fact you'd be hard-pressed to see much at all going on about covid, .....and weird as it may seem to the nervous bed-wetters and hand-wringers, there are no cases and no one is dying. In other words, life goes on pretty much as before.
