What carefully considered and appropriately budgeted purchases... or frivolous impulse buys... have you made that you are now impatiently waiting for?
Post 'em up here!
MAM, VAM, JOE, Cotswald, 21st Century, TBL, Jiaou, Mattel, Hasbro, Palitoy – figures, bodies, heads, uniforms, accessories, vehicles, job lots – whatever it is that you're waiting on, tell us about it so we can vicariously share in the agony of waiting!

As of five minutes ago, a 21st Century Kubelwagen vehicle with two figures is on the way via eBay.
(Image from eBay listing)
I've been watching a Kubelwagen listing for a few weeks now, but I haven't had the money... or, I didn't really want to spend the money. Today I realized I could probably figure out a way to make it work. The listing I had been watching did not include figures and the vehicle was missing a few minor pieces, but it was in overall decent condition, although the previous owner had removed the German insignia from the doors. Before I clicked the Buy-It-Now button, I had the uncharacteristic foresight to try another search, which revealed this fine example. The price was somewhat higher than the one I had been watching, but it is complete and includes two figures... and there was a "Make Offer" option. I submitted an offer and it was accepted, for ten dollars (USD) less than the incomplete one I'd been watching.
The parcel will be shipping from Canada to the US, so delivery may take a while.
And on the topic of taking a while – another relatively recent eBay purchase was this 1/6 scale Dragon Models cine-camera. This piece is coming from the UK to the States. It was shipped more than two weeks ago but has yet to arrive:

I ordered a couple pair of these boots:
and this guy:
Ordered the boots eBAY free shipping from China so I expect to wait a bit. Preordered the figure from War-Toys. The delivery keeps being pushed out, but they are showing up on ebay now, so I don't think it will be too much longer...

Hmm, despite being locked in a struggle to the death with my FORMER internet provider who could not handle something as simple as a change of address, (in fact I don't think they could connect two tin cans with a piece of string!) I manage to notice this figure online from a seller here in Oz so shipping was reasonable.
I thought my resident cowboy should have an indian ( that's probably non-PC now but as kids we played cowboys and indians, so there!) and I manage to purchase same. On his back it says he's part of a Lone Ranger set so I "assumed" (always dangerous!) that he was a twelve inch figure. Upon arrival he's actually around 10 inches tall so he's obviously a member of a smaller tribe but he's dressed very nicely and certainly looks the part. I'm arranging moccasins for him, and maybe a feather or two.

Nice looking outfit on that figure. Is that a sort of velour type fabric to simulate leather? To me he looks like part of the Mego Lone Ranger line. Ah, yes... an Internet search turns up a discussion (from a decade ago) about these figures on the Mego Museum website:

Yeah, it's a kind of velour approximation of buckskin. He does look a bit tiny against my cowboy but I think I can pose him so that the difference is less apparent. Quite a nice figure all round though.

The Kubelwagen arrived. Still waiting for the movie camera.
Despite being stuck in international postal limbo for nearly three weeks, the vehicle arrived intact. I'll post some photos in the Ammo Motorpool topic.

Dave. I’m very much intrigued on why you’ve bought a dining table set.

Great little pick up there Barry. 'Tonto' figure from the 'Lone Ranger' series from the 1970's I believe. Had all these back in the halcyon days of childhood. Moccasins and other bits can be had on the Bay but they probably aren't too cheap.

Oh, that reminds me! I need to post a photo of the inexpensive plastic dining table set!
Now on the way: an assortment of miniature glass bottles and vials... for the laboratory set that I still intend to construct one of these days.
Super Duck SDH018A head sculpt
TBLeague S28A body (pre-order; could take a while)
1/6 scale boots - two pair

Nice, I look forward to seeing them. Especially the laboratory.
I still haven't done anything about the tea/cafe tables I would like to make, but still thinking about it.

I've been on a bit of a buying spree, it would seem.
I attribute this to feeling depressed every time I watch the television news.
And I'm something of a spendthrift.

I know, right? That's the default! But this time I can actually partly blame Alex, who asked me about vehicles, which got me to looking on eBay, and, well, ya know how that goes.
