RED FERRARI !!!

So here's my MAM pretending to be Magnum P.I.
Yes I know, no big moustache right? It will come. This is really just to show off the Ferrari!!!

(And anyone who is thinking "My God those shorts are....SHORT!" need only look online at what are called U.D.T. shorts.  These were standard USA issue to the Underwater Demolition Team and
Magnum (Tom Selleck) very often featured them back in a time far less self conscious about men actually having legs.)

Anyway, here's my latest vehicle acquisition!

I believe this hotel is near the Ala Wai canal in Waikiki. A Hard Rock Cafe used to be just over the bridge, on the site of the historic Kau Kau Korner cafe, the Crossroads of the Pacific. Coincidental that you post this on what is 4 July here in the States. Almost every July 4th during my years in Hawaii, I would park at the Honolulu Zoo and trek along the length of Waikiki, right past this spot, cross the bridge, and watch the fireworks from near the Ala Wai boat basin.

Finally managed to get at least a couple of my men out of their storage tubs.
(I will re-vamp the figure as Tom Selleck properly when your shirt arrives!)
And the Ferrari was a purchase during the "big move" so I wanted to show that.
Just noticed that the Ferrari looks a whole lot smaller in the photos than in it is in reality. Don't really know why that should be.
Like all 1/6 scale vehicles, the thing is huge, specially when it comes to finding a place to store it!

Glad the background brought back memories for you too.
It was hard to find one in the proper perspective for a street shot.
