 She certainly has the fiery spirit of Kamiko! and she even managed to talk her way back onto the team!

Wow that was some argument between aunt and niece. The last comic panel made me laugh.

She certainly has Kamiko's insolence and attitude.

Michiko had it won when she came up with "that's more than twice my age" point! Excellent dialog and photos throughout.

(The "magazine photo shoot" was very nicely done, as well!)

The main theme being explored here is "karma." Kamiko, now in the role of a surrogate mother now has to deal with a teenager who is very much a younger version of Kamiko herself and is not entirely prepared for this, and she can be outsmarted and outmaneuvered by a younger version of herself.

There is some grounding in real life here. When my sister and i were kids, I was the older, goody-two shoes by the book kid and my sister was the insolent, disobedient and extremely mischievous one, which continued well into adolescence. However, of my sister's three children, one was a horrible brat (the eldest who took after his delinquent father) one, (the middle one was a goody-two shoes) and the youngest, a daughter, was very much like Kamiko; highly intelligent, but very difficult and headstrong, self-confident, and pushy. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed watching her having to deal with two kids who were as much trouble to deal with as she was when she was a child. What goes around, comes around.

As Kamiko said, they were very tasteful.
