| I tried to get this figure, ended up later with the "consulation" figure. The same except in snow gear. He is still in the box wrapped in plastic. The Green Beret figure went for big bucks afterward. The price dropped after the classic collection figures came out, and I was able to get one on the bay for $15 later. He was loose but complete. Great figure, and really nice of your Grandma to get it for you! I'm sure that makes him a more special since she got it for you. Daryl | |

| I like him too, but I'm not sure about that pale lipstick he seems to be wearing. The name plate is a great addition commemorating a period of true service. |

Thanks Daryl, thanks for info bit and glad you got'em! yes, its always special when My My Grandma got Me something back in the day and she got Me many Joes as well which I am going to feature them sometime in the near future in My Vintage Figure Topic. Yeah, LeStryge, he does look a bit odd with his lips but yes, I love that base and in fact IMO it's the most important piece of his accessories. OK, in a few minutes, I am going to post the 3 3/4" scale version that My Grandma got Me during the same as this one so be on the look out for that really soon _________________ Remember: It is imperative to Look Back - The Past is not a Wilderness of Horrors - We don't stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing - Never judge a book by it's cover - DTA - Appearances are deceiving, everything We know may not be true, We are only beginning to learn - Always Watch the Skies - If it's been done in a movie, then most likely it's already been done in Real Life - Research & Question Everything = Various <-->

| OK, here he is, My 3 3/4" Joe mail-in that My Grandma got Me at the same time in 1994 along with the previously seen 1/6 scale version. Now, as you'll notice, he is quite different compared to the Joes of the 80s & 90s. His face is really old school inspired and they outdid their-selves sculpting wise with this guy back then. I find him so classic looking. His upper body is really bulky and his hands are positioned a bit different as well. His clothing is really nice and I love that he has a sculpted grenade belt and a sculpted firearm on his right leg Here is his massive machine gun. Thank goodness I took good care of him and kept his weapon intact! Here is his Copyright as I always look for it on figures among other things, I always have since I discovered this stuff since I was little. Here is a huge comparison of him with his special 12" mail-in counterpart! Gosh, I sure miss those days of mail-ins that you could get s special like that in i the 80s and 90s. Kenner & Hasbro were so good about that stuff then but the fact of the matter is those times were good period when it came to this sort of options That's all for now on these special 30th, 1964-1994 mail-in G.I. Joe figures! Let Me know what you think about the smaller version + them together and I will appreciate it _________________ Remember: It is imperative to Look Back - The Past is not a Wilderness of Horrors - We don't stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing - Never judge a book by it's cover - DTA - Appearances are deceiving, everything We know may not be true, We are only beginning to learn - Always Watch the Skies - If it's been done in a movie, then most likely it's already been done in Real Life - Research & Question Everything = Various <--> | |

| I'm pretty sure I have the small one as well, it was the flag points on the smaller Joes that you had to send in to get the mail in figures. If I remember correctly.
I also got the small Joe Sgt Savage in the desert camo that had a color change in sunlight. As I recall, in sunlight, his face developed a camo look. I might be mistaken, it was years ago.

Thanks for the quick reply Daryl. Yes, the flag points was a big part of the mail-ins so you are correct. I have only one Sgt. Savage figure to showcase, maybe I will do it in the near future, it'll be in another topic and we'll see _________________ Remember: It is imperative to Look Back - The Past is not a Wilderness of Horrors - We don't stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing - Never judge a book by it's cover - DTA - Appearances are deceiving, everything We know may not be true, We are only beginning to learn - Always Watch the Skies - If it's been done in a movie, then most likely it's already been done in Real Life - Research & Question Everything = Various <-->
