| Doll Man was, according to Wikipedia, created by legendary Golden Age comics writer and scholar Will Eisner. Doll Man had the ability to shrink himself to a miniature height of 6 inches. The original Doll Man comics ran from 1941 to 1953. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doll_ManThe character is currently owned by DC comics and reappears periodically. In DC canon, the original Doll Man eventually went mad as a side effect of the shrinking and is currently incarcerated in an insane asylum. Insane asylums still exist in the world of comic books. The current Doll Man is stuck in his miniature form as a result of… some kind of complicated DC comic book nonsense… which presents challenges in his relationship with his girlfriend. Short answer: Yup, Doll Man is a real Golden Age comic book character and was reasonably popular through the 1940s. Fun fact: Doll Man shares a first name (with different spelling) with AMMO’s own BlondeActionMan. _________________ ... DAVE

You bet it would present "challenges"! She's full size and he's only 6" tall? Thanks Dave. Couldn't believe the comic cover when I saw it. |

| Actually yeah, he was great, however I know of another one... THIS DOLLMAN for over 30 years now! This is what I'm talkin' about for a long time now, while many companies have joined each other making things that has been done dozens of times, over the decades, there has never been a Dollman action figure in 1/6 and any scale for that matter. How about instead they work on making characters that has never been made before? McFarlane & NECA could've easily made him and other other Full Moon toys. Sideshow could have too. There is still plenty of characters that has never got the attention and Dollman is one of'em Oh and by the way, since companies love to milk the variant trend, they could easily make a variant of him as Jack Deth from the TRANCER Saga since he is also played by the legendary Tim Thomerson! Now that would've been sweet _________________ Remember: It is imperative to Look Back - The Past is not a Wilderness of Horrors - We don't stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing - Never judge a book by it's cover - DTA - Appearances are deceiving, everything We know may not be true, We are only beginning to learn - Always Watch the Skies - If it's been done in a movie, then most likely it's already been done in Real Life - Research & Question Everything = Various <--> | |

| Perhaps it has a lot to do with the name "DOLLman" ? Hardly going to appeal to boys is it? In fact it sounds a lot like an offensive term that might be thrown pejoratively at any one of us here for instance! |

| If you talking about the on posted then ADULTS are intended, NOT kids! It would have been a perfect opportunely in the early and mid 2000s for companies like McFarlane & NECA during the great days of Movie Maniacs and the Cult Classics. Any big horror collector/fan from then would know and want him from the movie especial him vs the Demonic toys. Sideshow could've done wonders too! That's another thing, I recently posted some of My horror figures in My great ginormous Horror topic. It' really irks Me how people was back then and there was such demand for these figures and now there's just not...I've complained many times, seems like that awesome and fun time has been forgotten _________________ Remember: It is imperative to Look Back - The Past is not a Wilderness of Horrors - We don't stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing - Never judge a book by it's cover - DTA - Appearances are deceiving, everything We know may not be true, We are only beginning to learn - Always Watch the Skies - If it's been done in a movie, then most likely it's already been done in Real Life - Research & Question Everything = Various <--> | |

Yeah, well current demands and proscriptions have certainly managed to suck the last few vestiges of fun out of life now....probably for good. If you are old enough to remember any of them then you are indeed lucky. One of the few compensations of getting old! |

| I know, this era is extremely pathetic and yeah, while I'm not that old, I am proud to know what I know! _________________ Remember: It is imperative to Look Back - The Past is not a Wilderness of Horrors - We don't stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing - Never judge a book by it's cover - DTA - Appearances are deceiving, everything We know may not be true, We are only beginning to learn - Always Watch the Skies - If it's been done in a movie, then most likely it's already been done in Real Life - Research & Question Everything = Various <--> | |

| In all of those transformations either from large to small or vice versa, was anyone else amazed that the clothing often appeared to change too? |

Yeah, same with invisibility, at least in the comic books. _________________ ... DAVE

Absolutely correct! The Invisible Man/Woman SHOULD have to walk about fully naked to really be invisible. Similar thing with those werewolves, who somehow mange to be clothed again when they turn back into human form. The Hulk always splits his shirts off when he transforms, but his trousers just expand and contract with his body....... And where does Superman keep his business suit, shirt, shoes and glasses when he changes from Clark Kent? The Superman outfit does not seem to come with a little back-pack! |

| The clothing part is a complicated matter in some areas like the Hulk for example. It's really never explained in media about them. Shape-shifters like Mystique in the X-Men are metamorphs. Their powers within their bodies absorb every cell of someone else and even fibers of clothing to duplicate whomever they chose and what they wore hence making them like a clone...its like body-snatching if you will. the T-1000 & T-X in the Terminator movies has the same abilities but they're manufactured and not mutants nor ancient beings like others. If you guys seen Hollowman (2000) and Hollowman 2 (2006) that, those two movies are GREAT EXAMPLES of invisibly. The Hollowman characters are ALWAYS NAKED when they are invisible. The movies are very realistic and people never did gave them the credit they deserved and they still don't as I speak! That's a good answer there _________________ Remember: It is imperative to Look Back - The Past is not a Wilderness of Horrors - We don't stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing - Never judge a book by it's cover - DTA - Appearances are deceiving, everything We know may not be true, We are only beginning to learn - Always Watch the Skies - If it's been done in a movie, then most likely it's already been done in Real Life - Research & Question Everything = Various <--> | |
