I visited an old mate over xmas and he gave me this...
He said he didn't know where it came from. His brother had given it to him to give to me. When I saw the MAM on top I wasn't expecting much but after a quick rummage I found three VAM!
They are very war weary but one's a Hank look-a-like..
.and one's a hard hands ex-talker..
Also in the box were these three..
Six Million Dollar man, Marx Geronimo and Little Big Man!
My cousin had a SMDM back in the day. Joe had forgotten how big they were!!
The undesirables were taken into custody, They will be held in the shed until firework night.
The rest of the box was the usual VAM jumble..
I never had the Action man Janitor set myself!
Someone had used the box art from the Deep Sea Diver set to make some maps.
Does anyone have any idea what these are?
The big radio looks like it slots in somewhere. A Marx jeep maybe? Also is the walkie-talkie a Stoney Smith accessory?
All in all a nice little unexpected xmas gift. . . and the moral of the story is keep in touch with people. The mate who gave me this stuff and I have been friends for 40 odd years. We go way back to our late teens when we were both car mad but as we all know life gets in the way. Prior to this xmas I don't think I'd seen him for about 3 years and we hadn't spoken on the phone for over a year either. I rang him when I received an xmas card from him. He'd had that box of VAM for months and had been meaning to call me but hadn't. Life huh?
