The ascent of Innerdouny hill.

Action Man plan’s a ascent of Innerdouny hill inspect for possible enemy incursions. Satellite pictures show there are some falling trees on route. To help him clear the trees he takes his axe and a Toxic Robot that he has reprogrammed to serve him.



The two find a fallen tree and they start hacking away at it.



After passing the tree, they set off up the hill.


It gets steeper!


And levels off a bit before the final push to the summit.




They pause at the summit to enjoy the view.

Weather looks marvelous! Is this typical for Scotland in mid-winter?

Dad here. Ivan & I generally walk 1 day a week. We choose the sunniest day, with the least wind, but that’s often the coldest. Sometimes the temperature is below freezing at the hill top and the wind chill significantly below that (witness the ice shots two weeks ago), however it can warmer than that. I think this week it was about 5C (41F) at the top. There are often patches of snow in places out of the sun. Ivan and I have been hill walking for 40 years and the winters seem much warmer now (global warming?).

The posing of the figure on the way up the hill really conveys the effort needed for a steep climb. Well done!
