Oh, man! This is incredible!
Was that the only image of the original display that you had to work from? You did a remarkable job of recreating the building as seen in the old display. Did you work from the image, approximating the dimensions based on the size of the figures?
This is really amazing, and so much fun!
The figs are outfitted like in the original display as well, with the one lone diver (who must have emerged from the lily pond in the back garden).
That's a marvelously landscaped area in which to set up your scene. Is that your actual 1:1 scale back garden?

Nice! It looks exactly like the one in the Palitoy exhibit!

Great post and redux of the Diorama , Does anyone remember " Les Story " ? He was quite a big Action Man dealer back in the day . I vaguely remember him getting his paws on that Palitoy Diorama . But I am getting old and that was some years back .

Hi Dave yes the dimensions were based on the figures as well as the SAS Helicopter

Certainly a most excellent build and recreation. 1/6 is a big scale to work with. The neatness of your construction is most admirable too. So well done!

Absolutely superb. You have recreated the elements of the original exhibit more or less perfectly in my opinion.
What a shame Palitoy never released a version of this alongside their SAS stuff. Sadly, I guess by this point sales and the rise of Star Wars merchandise were among other factors having an impact on what might have gone from drawing board to production.
