This came as a set, waist up. The figure, pants and boots were added to make a complete figure. This was not a complete figure.
Besides the cap, he also came with a helmet for combat. And two cameras, the one on the left I'm not sure about it has a strange circular pattern on top, which one would assume is for a flash cube. At least that's what it looks like to me, but it's rather large for that. The camera on the right is a 35mm rangefinder, like the Leica's that were used during that time.
The set came with an armband with a P. Designating press maybe? Or photographer? I haven't seen anything like that.
The set also came with a .45 and holster, some "prints" which luckily were in plastic that could be removed from the packaging to keep them in good shape, and a third camera. The third camera is a folding camera, which I have known to be a consumer type, that took film like the old 127 which has long been discontinued.
A view of all three cameras, hanging around his neck.
And all three "photos" that came with the set.
Joe holding one of the photos
And one last piece of the set, a notebook. This piece is solid plastic, painted with a list. The piece is so tiny that I can't make out what is written with my poor eyes and the tiny writing. But it looks like a list of names.

I’m really liking the look of your WWII Military Photographer Daryl. I’m liking how plain and simple his whole outfit is. I especially like the picture of him holding one of the photos.

There's a word I can't quite make out but that's what it says anyway. Must be notes the reporter has taken. It's a great set and I have a few bits and pieces from it. The figure itself was commonly used for a few other sets too, which means I've got several of them. Redheads all of 'em!

I like the cameras. It would be nice if someone made a 1/6 scale Speed Graphic. There size notwithstanding, they were used by a lot of WWII photographers.

That would be great KTC, but I haven't seen any in 1/6 scale.
I was lucky enough to get one a few years ago. I always wanted one, as it's my understanding they were the first used by newspaper photographers. In the "modern" world of course. Matthew Brady used a view camera back in the day, although newspapers would make carvings of photos then for print. Before the half tone was introduced.
TLR's were also used during WWII. I wouldn't mind to have one of those in 1/6 scale. I've owned a couple of those back in the day.

I have both a TLR....one of my late father's old Rolleiflex from the early 50's and a Graflex Crown Graphic that he used for portraits and group photos into the 1970's. I restored it to its former glory as a press camera by reinstalling the solenoid trigger, and getting flash and dish from e-Bay some years ago.

That’s a cracking figure Daryl. The GI Joe sets from the 90s? had a lot too offer.

I didn't think to photograph the pad and enlarge the original out of camera file to try to read it. So I did, and this is what I could make out.

I can see "REVELED" as being revealed. But "SUBEMEBIENS?" I can only assume that's supposed to be submarines.
