Alloy arrived at the nursing home where Action Man was staying. Alloy managed to sneak into the nursing home, where he saw a man sitting near a log fire.
He zooms in closer and spots the famous AM logo tattoo on this elderly gentleman.
Alloy approaches him. The old man turns his head round as he hears footsteps. He looks straight at Alloy.
Alloy scans the man’s face and, yes, he definitely sees his master Action Man! The face, even the eyes, are Action Man’s. There is one difference, he is an older version of the real action hero.
“Well hello strange mechanical dog. Where is your owner, huh. You look like you should be appearing in old black and white Sci Fi movies. Well, since you are here, do you fancy keeping this old man company?”
Alloy makes his dog robotic noises to show his willingness to stay.
As they both settled down, Allow played the recording of what Professor Gangrene had said. “Your Action Man isn’t going to be coming to rescue you anytime soon because he is now an old man thanks to me and my ageing machine. He has probably forgotten all about you and all the missions he went on with you in the past, mwahahaha! He is doing what all old people do these days in his lovely and secure nursing home. So put away the missile because if you don’t, my Toxic Robots will deal with you on my command.”
As soon as Professor Gangrene’s voice stopped, Action Man SUDDENLY started to remember what had happened to him and most importantly, remembered who he is!
He strokes Alloy and says, “I’m Action Man, the greatest hero of them all and your my loyal dog, Alloy. Together we will find Professor Gangrene and get him to turn me back into my younger self. It sounds like from that voice recording of him you know where he is already. I think we’ll need to get some help because this old body won’t be able to take on Gangrene!”
Action Man and Alloy are in the police sergeant’s office. Action Man says “Hello sir.”
The sergeant gets up from behind his desk and shakes the hand of the stranger and says “You must be the kind man that Detective Warthog gave that dog to and I see that you have managed to work out how to operate him. Good. You see this robotic dog once belonged to a very heroic person and helped the police out whenever he was called upon by us. None of us have heard from him in a very long time. His name was Action Man.”
“No sergeant, I AM ACTION MAN! I have proof.
Alloy play the recording to the sergeant here.”
Alloy plays the voice recording to the sergeant of what Professor Gangrene had said.
After hearing the recording, the sergeant sat back at his desk. He said in a very worrying tone of voice, “So Professor Gangrene isn’t dead and IS STILL VERY MUCH ALIVE. You are definitely the real Action Man.” “Isn’t dead sergeant! Whatever do you mean ?!
The sergeant starts to retell the whole story of Professor Gangrene. How he was found dead in his cell by prison guards. He added that two independent doctors confirmed his death and that his body was removed from his cell and buried in the the Prison Cemetery.
The sergeant points to Action Man and Alloy and and says, “I now know that Alloy is your robotic dog because he escaped from Professor Gangrene’s secret HQ and went straight to the nursing home where you lived. All thanks to Professor Gangrene giving Alloy the address to where you lived as an elderly man. Alloy found you and replayed the recording of Professor Gangrene hoping that you would start to remember who you really were and luckily it worked. So that means Detective Warthog was lying to me.
He was here in my office reminding me of Alloy and that he used to belong to you. He also thought that since he hadn’t been used for a long time we could give him a new owner. He said that he knew the exact person who could have Alloy.
The exact person who Detective Warthog gave Alloy to WAS NONE OTHER THAN PROFESSOR GANGRENE!
That must mean that Detective Warthog is working alongside Professor Gangrene acting as his “Corrupt Detective” and making sure that we, the Police, could not find out that Professor Gangrene was still alive.”
The sergeant points his finger directly at Action Man once again and says, “Action Man we are going to help you get hold of Professor Gangrene. We. Shall do this by Alloy leading us directly to his Headquarters since your smart robotic dog knows the exact way. We will then put Professor Gangrene in handcuffs and get him to tell us how to reverse the “ageing progress” on you so that we can get you back to your original age and looks.”
The sergeant gets up from behind his desk and says, “ I think it’s time for me to call in Detective Warthog so I can personally arrest him on the grounds of us thinking that he has been involved with a known criminal. After that, I’ll arrange for a Swat Team, plus you, myself and Alloy to descend on Professor Gangrene’s headquarters.”
Detective Warthog enters the sergeant’s office and spots Alloy straight away. “Alloy, where have you been? Your new owner has been looking for you.” As soon as Detective Warthog had said “new owner”, Alloy flips out his missile and starts doing a robotic growl.
The sergeant raises one of his arms towards Action Man as he enters his office. “What, this new owner! What I should really be saying is, “his original owner, Action Man.”
Action Man turns to look straight at Detective Warthog and says, “I don’t recognise you and it wasn’t you who gave me back my robotic dog. It was in fact Alloy who found me and got me to remember who I really am.” Detective Warthog response comes quickly. “Well, of course, you wouldn’t remember that it was me who brought you back your robotic dog”
Action Man says, “Alloy please play the recording to Detective Warthog.” Alloy plays the voice recording of what Professor Gangrene had said. Detective Warthog listens in silence.
The sergeant points his finger at Detective Warthog and says in a very serious voice, “Detective Warthog, of course you will indeed recognise that voice you’ve just heard on the recording because he’s the EXACT person YOU gave Alloy too in the first place. The EXACT person was the so-called dead Professor Gangrene whom I think you are secretly working for. Remember Detective Warthog, you are in a Police Station so it’s in your best interests to tell the truth and nothing but the truth.”
Detective Warthog can see that he’s been found out so he decides to tell the truth so he starts with saying “Yes, that exact person who I gave Alloy to was Professor Gangrene. I reported to him that us the Police all thought that Action Man was still missing and possibly wasn’t returning and that we had kept hold of Alloy.
After I had finished telling him this he suddenly went mad and said that he’d remembered that robotic dog that Action Man had with him when they arrested him. He then told me Whatever it takes I must bring Alloy to him and once he had him he would then decide what he wanted to do with him.”
“Detective Warthog I am placing you under arrest on charges of being involved and knowing a person who’s involved in criminal activity’s. I’m now going to inform you of your rights. You have the right to remain silent, anything you say and do can be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to attain legal counsel during questioning. If you cannot afford legal counsel the court will appoint someone to you. You also have the right to end questioning at any time. Do you understand your rights as I read them to you? Please take him away gentlemen.”
Detective Warthog is led out of the sergeant’s office in handcuffs.
“Right Action Man, now that’s all been dealt with let’s gather a Swat Team together and go and raid Professor Gangrene’s headquarters!”
The Swat Team along with Action Man and Alloy are being briefed regarding the raid they are about to undertake.
