Subject: Missing Ramblers. Part 2. Thu Feb 23, 2023 4:23 pm
WARNING: This chapter is quite horrific and is not suitable for kids!
Meanwhile at Gangrenes base, unknown to Action Man (yet)…….. Gangrene thinks to himself “Action Man always manages to defeat my robots grrrrrr!”
“My robots must be to stupid. I’m going to instal human brains from these kidnapped walkers into my robots.”
Gangrene is about to lift one of the brains from one of the kidnapped walkers. “My work, love and watching zombie movies will help me with the process of transferring this brain into one of my robots. I’ve had to replace his blood with my own synthetic blood so it will stay stay alive outside a human body.”
Gangrene has successfully transplanted the human brain into one of his robots he gives the command to speak. The robot starts to speak “Blairadam & Forest, Dalmeny Park, Turnhouse Hill, Dundreich, Hound Point Battery, Byrehope Mount& Craigenger in a robotic voice. “Muahahaha, the brain transplant works. He’s reciting some of the hills he’s walked.”
“Now to test the motive skills and then transplant the other brain into another robot. Then in a few days I will send out two to kidnap another hill walker.”
Elsewhere at Action Man’s HQ Ivan and the walker he rescued are both in Action Man’s HQ with Ivan recalling everything he saw to Action Man (because the walker can’t remember anything). “I stayed with him until after he had been tested. When the hospital did their tests a tranquilliser was detected in his bloodstream and there was a large bruise on his neck.” Action Man replies with saying “So it looks like he was struck with a tranquilliser dart in his neck, but by who and why? Two hill walkers have disappeared so far and this could have been the third. How can we stop this happening?” Action Man tells the hill walker and Ivan his plan.
Action Man dresses in hill walking gear and casually walks up a forest path.
The two robots and blowpipe man lie in wait.
The dart whistles from the blowpipe.
The dart hits Action Man and he staggers and
falls to the ground.
The robots move in.
Action Man is hoisted unconscious onto the red robots shoulder and carried away to Professor Gangrene’s lab.
To be continued.
The outside pictures were taken by Ivan and set ups done by dad.

A brain transplant! Cool! I've long been fascinated by the idea of brain transplants, ever since I first saw a Frankenstein movie when I was a kid. In fact, when I was in Grade 4 in school (age 9 -- I don't know what that is in the UK school system), my friends and I put together a play called "The Brains of Frankenstein," about Dracula and the Frankenstein monster and a brain transplant. It was fun, and our teacher liked it so much she let us put on a show for other classes.
Anyway, yeah, brain transplants are creepy-cool!
Also creepy-cool: that action fig with the top of the head sawed off! Whose idea was that? Did you actually make that brain?
Oh, one more thing: when I was a kid, I would have loved this "quite horrific" chapter! It's perfect for kids... like me!
But times have changed, I guess.

Alex’s idea of the brain transplant. I (other dave) thought of showing the process. We looked for 1/6 scale Plastic brains and couldn’t find any so made them of blu-tack. The change of colour was excused by the synthetic blood. The top of head removal was from silence of the lambs. I’m going to show it to a friend to see if it’s age appropriate for her grandson. I hoping kids are just as gruesome as we used to be.

Thank you very much Daryl. I’m sure Gangrene would be delighted to capture our hero of them all, although he doesn’t know it yet. Would a Actions Man braid robot be a goodie or a baddie?

Thanks Dal for your feedback, very much appreciated. It wasn’t special effects, it was blu-tack .
