If you only have a dozen or so figures , this is not likely an issue for you , if you have 50 or more then it likely is . I am interested how other people are storing or displaying their figures , as I am currently trying to address this . How do you stop your figures shelf diving ? Assuming they are on shelves . What about dust ? Are all your figures in nice display cabinets or open to the ailments ? Are you displaying them or keeping them in tubs ? Here is a brief look at the mess I am in . Would love to see your storage / display ideas , which I hope will influence me some ideas .
Each box here has a figure in it , I have indexed them . But seldom bother to look at them , especially the ones at the back ....
Here are my Grunts , notice the anti shelf diving ropes . Fortunately I haven't noticed they getting dusty , but I wouldn't like to keep vintage figures this way .
The main motor pool shelves , there are two more the same size as this , full of boxes of stuff I kind of remember what they have in them , though have had the pleasure of finding stuff I forgot I had .

I use shelves for my figures, I have one custom build shelf for that, plus use some regular ones, but I will replace those with newer, better shelves that have more storage capacity.
Speaking of, I recently put a bunch of figures into transparent storage boxes of various sizes that I put in top of my wardrobe. If you have high rooms, thats a ideal way to store stuff you dont want to permanently display

I keep mine on extra deep book cases, but I also have them three rows deep, so that helps quite a bit .

I can't give you any advice, at one point after a hiatus from collecting I discovered that during that time there was a lot of 1/6 put out, and started collecting fast. Some great Joe stuff, 21C, Dragon, etc. I was boxing it as soon as I got it.
I have no organization of any kind, so when I mention I have a figure and someone asks me to photograph it, I have to respond with I will if I can find it. There are a few things I know I have, but can't remember where it is.
I have an extra room where most of my stuff is, pretty much boxed up.
Quite a mess, isn't it?
In another room I have some stacks.
Very little is organized.
Some boxes and totes I was able to label at some point. I guess I live in chaos.

Hi there Chip my friend Happy Holidays Sorry it's taken me ages to get back to you on this topic. I can't remember what I paid for them at the time head injuries but I bought a few at the time. I think they are very good for keeping the figures in top condition and dust free . Here's just a few photos to hopefully show you a possible way of storing your figures my friend
I have a lot of similar white backed clear fronted boxes , which are no longer available it seems . Now and again a few might come up on eBay , but seem to go for more money than they are worth in my opinion . Your figures look nice in those .

Hi there Chip my friend , I like the idea of a white background And clear front it would make the future stand out even more very cool I hear what you are saying about certain types not being available anymore ; And now and again they do pop-up on eBay from time to time. And you are so right my friend ; And they are always priced far more than they are actually worth
Thanks for the compliments on the figures in there boxes I'm needing to get a lot more at some in the future when the finances allow it
I'll speak to you soon Chip my friend Very kind regards , Allan
